Our Pharaohs’ tee-shirt pays tribute to cast member Manuel Padilla, Jr. who passed away in January, 2008 and to which Salute 2008 was dedicated. On the backside is a rendition of the Pharaohs’ plaque and ’51 Mercury from a very cool watercolor painted by Petaluma artist Lisa Deniz. On the frontside in the left breast pocket position is the American Graffiti script, under which it reads: Manuel Padilla, Jr.; 1955-2008; Carlos; Get in the back, punk! Right nearby was XERB Radio, the infamous “border blaster” station from which Wolfman Jack rocked the airwaves.
